In 2010 I began consulting creatives on how to build their brands and saw their businesses radically transform in a short amount of time. I soon realized that my life was destined to empower entrepreneurs to create profitable businesses while pursuing what they love.

But let’s get back to you. You’re on the cusp of doing something great with your business, and you’re committed to making it work. You just need help figuring out what to do. However, as any entrepreneur can attest, we encounter difficult phases as we navigate the choppy waters of pursuing our dreams. If you’re feeling a little bit lost, overwhelmed, and intimidated, or if you are talking yourself out of growing a business due to lack of education, money, or experience, among other things, I feel you. I’m sure there are days when one moment you feel on top of the world, and a moment later you’re alone, the self doubt causing you to cry into a pint of ice cream and watch a rerun of Shark Tank. Please don’t say I’m the only one.

In 2006, I started a business. I told my husband I wanted to be a photographer and though he supported me, he also asked, “Don’t you think you should buy a camera?” That’s right. I didn’t own a camera, but I was determined to make my dreams a reality. I didn’t have artistic education, I didn’t have the money to start my business, and I didn’t know how I was going to make things work (cue the ice cream/Shark Tank cry fest). Shortly thereafter, I discovered building a brand and creating a marketing strategy was fundamental to my success. 

By 2007, I became one of the most sought after photographers in California and in 2009 was named Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World (PopPhoto). Over the years, I continued to garner awards (Top 10 Most Influential Photographer {PDN} and Top 10 Most Socially Influential Photographer {Huffington Post}, amongst others), but I realized that while my artisanship established my business, my brand is what made it thrive.

There's a good chance you're here because you have a business you love, You're passionate about what you do, and you want your business to thrive.

And while all of this is important, none of it matters if I can’t help you move past mental barriers of success. If you place hurdles in front of your progress, listen to the negative things people say, and struggle to bounce back after failure, your education won’t be worth squat. What if I don't have a business yet?

You’re more than welcome to join. Here’s why: I wish I had someone tell me what mistakes to avoid and how to create a solid business foundation before I started my business. The Path to Profitability will hone your senses, so when you’re ready to move forward, you’re more than ready. The best part is that when you’re ready to launch, you can review the recorded lessons at your own pace to ensure you’re ready to blast off with a bang.

Will there be Q&A?

Absolutely! There’ll be time throughout each day for Q+A and I’ll be around to chat with you.  

What is your refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, but transferrable. If for some reason you cannot attend, you are responsible to handle payment and transfer, but we’ll do our best to help you through the process.

Will I be on camera?

Yes. If you are not comfortable being on camera, please sign up for the online course as it’ll be a better fit for you.

What should I bring?

 • A smile

What time do I arrive?

Please arrive to the event no later than 9am, as we’ll be starting promptly.

What should I wear?

The events will be recorded, so please wear layered clothing as the studio may become warm as a result of the lights. We’ll of course be using the air-conditioner, so if you happen to sit under a vent, a light sweater is recommended. Basically, bring options and choose something you’ll be okay wearing on camera.

Where should I stay?

I heavily suggest contacting Milk and Honey Travels for accommodations specific to this event. Brianna has scoured each city for the perfect option for you, so she’ll get everything organized for you with a simple click of a mouse.

Can you help with a roommate?

While I can’t guarantee a roommate assignment, the private FB group will be a great place to secure a rooming buddy. We’ll do our best to ensure you’re well taken care of.

Is this photography specific?

While I love photography, this event is NOT photography related. I have taught a litany of online photography courses, so feel free to check them out here. If you’re looking to attend a photo event, this is not for you.

How much does it cost?

It's $750 to secure a seat for this two-day business summit.
